Originally born and raised in the Nashville area of Tennessee, Debt aka Angelo Peppers owes most of his inspiration to the graffiti community of Nashville, Los Angeles and Chicago. Debt started drawing at a very early age, mostly re-drawing skateboard graphics and Batman comics.

Shortly after beginning a career in graffiti at the age of 15, he met another young graffiti artist Clicker from Los Angeles that moved to Tennessee with his family. Click being older and having more experience, took Debt under his wing and then continued to teach him everything he knew about the graffiti way of life. After attending art school in Nashville for two years, Debt decided to broaden his horizons and pursued a degree in computer graphics in Chicago. Shortly after graduating, he learned it was almost virtually impossible to find a graphics job in Chicago without any experience, being forced to move back to Nashville.

Debt returned to Nashville in 2001 where Click had been tattooing for the past 4 to 5 years. This is when Click persuaded Debt into apprenticing under him at Tink's House of Ink in downtown Nashville. At the same time Click also offered to apprentice Showbizo, who was already tattooing for a few years on his own in Chicago.

Shortly after completing his apprenticeship in 2002 , Debt decided to move back to Chicago. For the next couple of years, he continued to tattoo but also worked a few different graphic design jobs. Eventually getting rubbed the wrong way by Corporate America, he decided to work full time in early 2007 at Odin/ Old Town Tatu , along with his longtime friend Showbizo.

Debt enjoys doing technical, sharp designs; but at the same time enjoys doing Japanese style tattoos. Always trying to push it to the next level he strives to become the best he can, every tattoo teaching him something new at the same time...
